The sky, hours later

After I posted the last photo: http://nicholasroutzen.blogspot.com/2009/06/thunderstorms.html NY was fortunate to have seen one of the most beautiful skyline's in god knows how long. I can't even believe it was the same day as the thunderstorms that happened, just hours before. Below is a quick snap out of a cab, no color alteration. BELLISSIMO!

Thunderstorms

Thunderstorms in the summer are amongst one of my favorite things to watch. This evening I was on the phone with my mum, just catching up, when a beautiful thunderstorm blew my way. It was one of those moments when you mind becomes so clear, and any disturbances or disruptions that may have been on your mind, are quickly forgotten. In minutes, the trees blew, leaves fell, dirt and debree filled the sky, and thunder rumbled. After about 5 minutes of that, a crack of lighting filled the windows in front of me. I couldn't help but just stare, and appreciate everything, and every opportunity we've been given. It was one of those ;)

Terry Richardson vs Perelli Calendar 2010

Terry Richardson just shot the 2010 Pirelli Calendar, and WOW...Eniko Mihalik, Rosie Huntington Whiteley, Catherine McNeil, Abbey Lee Kershaw, Daisy Lowe, Gracie Carvalho, Marloes Horst, Lily Cole, Ana Beatriz Barros, Miranda Kerr and Georgina Stojiljkovic are amongst the girls in the calendar. Vanity Fair covered the shoot, and though the below images may even be better then Terry's (haha), he's managed to take this one to the next level. Respek.

Esquire Magazine Mx out now.

While in Paris, we shot a lingerie story for Esquire Mx, with the lovely Georgeta Dragan. Georgeta lives in Romania with her hubby, but, is based out of Paris, with Nathalie Models. She is super down to earth, sweet and was lovely to have worked with.

Cali. Early June.

I made way out to Cali last Friday for some hang out time, and some shooting. The weekend was spent catching up in Santa Barbara, eating all the mexican food I could handle, laying around on plush beds, watching TV with friends, driving an incredible 88' Bentley, dinner with mum and the girls, manny/pettys, and going to fun dive bars. Sometimes we need this. =)

Monday was back to business and back to reality.
