Sarah Simon's and Geordy Pearson's B-day + BBQ

Recently, we celebrated two of my best friends bday's, Sarah Simon, and Geordy Pearson! I feel like the last four weeks have been filled with bdays, including mine. September must have been a popular baby making month! Haha.
I've been told I produce a mean party, so collaborating on Sarah's bday with a good friend, Ali, was a no brainer =) Top of The Rock, dinner party at Lulu's, Apotheke, champagne, and cupcakes!
Additionally, you will find photos from a bbq, Labor Day weekend, in the Burg. This was a super get together, thrown by a bunch of kiwi's and you know kiwi's are a blast!
Lastly, my right hand man, Geordy Pearson, had his bday at one of our favorite Mexi spots in Williamsburg, Zocalo. Zocalo is the kind of place that the owner walks upstairs turns on the bar lights, turns on the tunes, and starts taking drinks orders to start the night... SUPER mom and pop. The turnout was perfect, about 13 heads, lots of tequila, beer, and plenty o mexican food to go around. We found ourselves making way to our fav dive afterward, The Levee... But that's always a given.

Women Management casting - 05/27/09

Wednesday I did quick casting of a few girls with Women Management. This week was so has been so hectic, that I completely spaced about my noon cast on Wednesday. Sure enough, 12:10pm rolled around, on Wednesday, and my booker at Women says "the girls are downstairs." Haha, a quick clothing change, a few open windows, some louder tunes, and the girls were walked in. Gotta love working from home.

Kara Searle vs Level Magazine - OUT NOW

Word on the street is the new issue of Level is out with our lingerie story of one of my muses, Kara Searle. Kara came to me needing some "clean, new, fresh" body photos for her book when she jumped agencies, early 09. I altered her original inspiration, and as a result, we shot a sexy lingerie story, in studio. Enjoy.

Summer is here!

You know summer has come when the fire hydrants are set off and the ice cream trucks are dropping Brooklyn beats over the megaphone speakers. Speaking of which, Bk is the only place I've ever heard break beats, instead of traditional ice cream truck music. If we can even call it that! Haha. Get some!

HOT new track- Junior Boys

So, a few weeks ago we went to see Junior boys at Webster Hall...
Their equipment shit out 3 times in a row. They worked on the "issue" for about half an hour, so we just left bc we were over it. They ended up rebooking the show for July, so it was a damn good thing we didn't stand around and waste the rest of the evening.

Fortunately, the band sent out a new mix of "Work", and it's pretty damn HOT.

Bday Bash(es).

I spent a few weeks in Ca, prior to my b-day. My shoots and ventures took me to San Francisco, Coachella (Indio), San Diego, and LA. All and all an incredible trip. Luckily, I was able to fit most (not all) of the people I needed to see and visit, while getting assignments done and still having a blast. I will say there was a lot of celebrating on both coasts this year, for my b-day. Upon my return back to NY, we had a big dinner at Barrio Chino, in the L.E.S. with about 12 ppl. The dinner was awesome, just close friends and good company. All the photos are separated below in different links.



Saturday, April 25th, we had a massive loft bday/loft party... the photos will tell all.

NYC Spring.

We've had ammmmmazing weather the last 3 or 4 days. I haven't seen this many people out and about at the parks, since last summer. Lounging in grass with beautiful weather is still a bit foreign to me, since I grew up on the sand. But, it always makes for an interesting setting in NY.
Union Square and Central Park are my two favorite places in the city. I will find myself hanging on the stairs of Union Square for hours just people watching and talking to new friends. It's one of the most eclectic settings I've ever been in.
Warm nights on the streets of NY, tank tops, outdoor patios, music... BELLISSIMO!

The room (pictures attached, as previously decked out) is 258 sq. feet and has huge windows offering a great view of the NYC skyline and the Williamsburg Bridge.

The rent is $1,175 plus internet and electricity which come to about $40 a month. Heat in the winter is approx. $80-120 (dec-april)/summer approx. $0-$10.
Wireless internet $9/month. The loft is located at 338 Berry St. (South 5th and Berry St.), 8 mins. walk from the L train station (Bedford Ave.) and 5 mins from the Marcy stop on the JMZ.

There are 4 rooms (everyone has their own room):

The loft has one bathroom, a kitchen and 2 storage closets, and is in total 2800 square feet.

Spring is in the air- NO REALLY!

After this afternoon's meetings, I found myself walking around for hours in Union Square. The weather is perfect, the skies are a heavy hue of blue, t-shirts are being worn, and the city reeks of good attitude and change.
Just before heading back to the L train, my eyes are distracted by a quick jolt of some sort of animal. I walk around the tree to see what it is, and lo and behold it's 3 little squirrels, rolling around. At first, I am thinking this is too funny, they are just like kids playing around in the dirt. Not even seconds later, I find out what is really going on:

As luck would have it, I was able to catch on my phone, MAYBE one of the funniest things I've ever experienced in my life! I took three photos, but they were too quick and rolling around to much... Apparently the term "third time is a charm", is truthful, bc my third shot was a charm!
Mind you I looked like a complete weirdo rolling on the ground hysterical... All at nature's expense. You have to smile, life is good.

Spring is in the air!

Back in December we shot both Janelle and Courtney Erickson for Q models, for the current issue of MissBehave. YES, finally on stands. We have two separate beauty pages in there, give it a go!

Christian Routzen vs San Franpsycho

Film maker, Producer, and Party Planner, Christian Routzen, partnered up with friend Andy Olive, to create San Franpsycho. Originally, San Franpsycho was the name of Routzen's first two surf films, which were based on the local surfers and natives of San Francisco. This quickly turned into a sequal, feauturing not only native surfers and pros, but also the whole SF scene, from partying, gambling, music, to a close tight nitch of crew involved in the beach/city scene. The success of Routzen's first two films turned into the lifestyle branding, SAN FRANPSYCHO. The buzz throughout the San Francisco scene is going so well that they are now throwing monthly parties, weekly live screen printings at events, a clothing line, and in the near future opening a retail store. San Francisco and other regional areas are responding with a deep respect for their grassroots style and gorilla marketing. The brand has expanded from an original surf film to now what can be called a full on following. San Franpsycho has teamed up with and is supporting many local talents of musicians, dj's, artists, and others throughout the Bay area. You can count on them branching their following throughout the California region and onward towards the East Coast, in the near future.

KUTIMAN mixes YouTube

I recently came across this Kutiman project and it blew me away!
This cat is mindblowing! Kutiman basically took a mass amount of youtube videos, of instrumental or voice related and chopped them up, producing them into tracks.
He then made videos for each track, using the YouTuber's clips... not only brilliant, but these tracks are sick. Go right to track 3! Wait for the beautiful voice to kick in, then the freestyle... amazing.
